Greetings from the Midwest

Hi All (if anyone actually finds this, that is):

Do you ever feel like you have a million things popping around in your head wanting to come out and say hello, but you don’t know where to start or if anyone will actually care? Since I was young, I wanted to do two things: write and help people. So that is what I hope to accomplish here and I hope you’ll join me on my journey.

I’m a Millennial wife and mom who listens more than I talk, but secretly has an opinion about everything, usually with a heavy dose of sarcasm. I grew up on a family farm in a small Midwestern town that shaped who I am as a person. Now a “city girl” I’m trying to find a balance between the two. I love my family, reading, travel, and football and often feel like I live in a state of chaos, but am working to break that pattern.

So that’s a little bit about me, you’ll learn more about me as we go along here but want this to be a place of understanding where people can relate to each other, learn, and grow. As I work to build out the site I hope to focus on the following:

  • Farm Girl Life and Transitioning to City Life
  • Fun Midwest Activities to do Solo or with your Family
  • Non-Midwest Travel Ideas and Fun
  • Things that have Helped Me Control the Chaos
  • Reviews of Books, Movies, and Other Random Things.

One of the features I’d also like to do is a concept I’m calling “Life is a Soundtrack”. What that means, is each post is going to have a song tied to it that fits the vibe I’m feeling as I post.

If you’ve made it this far, THANK YOU!!! I look forward to you sticking around and joining me in the world of A Midwest Memory! – EM
